Refund & Cancellation Policy

Payments for Jottii are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. This page explains how cancellations, trials, and refunds work across our monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans.

1. Free trial

All new accounts receive a 7-day free trial without a card. After the trial, accounts become read-only - you can still export your entries and subscribe at any time. When you subscribe, your card is charged immediately for the plan you select; there is no second card-required trial.

2. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period (the rest of the month for monthly plans, or the rest of the year for annual plans).

3. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are unhappy with Jottii, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge for any plan. Email us from the address on your account and we will process the refund through Dodo Payments within 5–10 business days. Refunds typically appear on the original payment method within one billing cycle, depending on your bank.

4. Annual plans after the 14-day window

After the 14-day window we generally do not offer pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of an annual plan, except where required by your local consumer-protection law. We will, however, cancel auto-renewal so you are not charged again. We review hardship cases individually - please write to us.

5. Monthly plans after the 14-day window

Monthly charges are non-refundable after the 14-day window. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

6. Lifetime plan

The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that grants access to Jottii's paid features for the lifetime of the product, with no recurring billing or auto-renewal. The 14-day money-back guarantee in section 3 applies to lifetime purchases as well - email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After the 14-day window, lifetime purchases are non-refundable, except where required by your local consumer-protection law; we review hardship cases individually. Because lifetime has no auto-renewal, there is no cancellation step - you simply keep access.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a grace period during which you keep access while Dodo Payments retries the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription is canceled and your account becomes read-only - you can still export your entries and resubscribe at any time. Your encrypted entries remain intact and become writable again as soon as billing is restored. Lifetime purchases are not affected by this section since they do not renew.

8. Refund exclusions

We can't refund charges that were not made by us through Dodo Payments, or charges older than the period required by Dodo Payments for chargeback handling.

9. How to request a refund

Email jottii@festivlabs.com from the address on your Jottii account with the subject line "Refund request" and include your Dodo Payments order/transaction ID (from the receipt email). We aim to respond within 2 business days.

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us first if you believe a charge is incorrect - we can usually resolve issues faster than a bank dispute. Initiating a chargeback may result in immediate suspension of your account pending review.

Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for Jottii subscriptions and is responsible for collecting payment, calculating tax, and issuing refunds on our behalf.
